Pieces
A book must be the axe for the frozen sea inside us.
– Kafka
There's no better place of refuge than in the written words. I doubt I'll ever make enough time for it but I know it's where I'll always come back to. Throughout the year, there are a few things that I came across on the internet and on paper that sometimes make me laugh, make me think and more often, teach me how to be a person in the world. Most of them books and articles, some of them videos and projects. What they do have in common though is how thoughtful, beautifully crafted they are, and how alone, they tell their own stories of truth, integrity, care and love, and together, they tell me the story of whom I yearn to become.
